Austin Stowell is an American actor best known for his role Jesse on ABC teen drama Secret Life of the American Teenager. Austin Stowell was born on December 24, 1984 in Berlin, Kensington, Connecticut and raised in Kensington, CT.
Austin showed an interest in acting during his school years and attended University of Connecticut to study acting. He appeared in a number of theatre production for Connecticut Repertory Theatre including Julius Caesar, It Can’t Happen Here, and As You Like It. Stowell graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007.
Austin made his on screen debut in 2009 on the TV series Secret Girlfriend which was followed by guest starring role on crime drama NCIS Los Angeles and the teen drama 90210.
In 2009 Austin was cast as a recurring character on ABC teen drama Secret Life of the American Teenager as Jesse the boyfriend of Lauren and best friend of Jack Pappas. Austin also started in the Alcon Entertainment film Dolphin Tale, distributed by Warner Bros, playing the role of Kyle, a disabled war veteran.
